To download the updater tool and check for firmware updates:

1. Save the file
   
2. Extract (unzip) the file
   
3. Run (double click on Cobra_RAD_Series_Update_Installer) to install onto your PC and follow the InstallShield Wizard instructions.  A desktop icon (Cobra_RAD_Series_Update_Installer) will be created on your desktop.
   
4. To update the firmware, connect RAD unit to your PC using a standard USB-A to USB-micro cable or USB-C cable for select units.
   
5. Start Cobra RAD unit update.
   
6. The software will notify you if your RAD unit is up to date. If an update is available the software update button will turn green.
   
7. To install the new firmware, click the green software update button. After the installation is complete, you will receive a pop-up windows indicating your RAD unit is up to date.
